A descoberta da infância proporcionou um tipo de literatura a ela direcionado. Como possui características especiais, enfrenta certo preconceito de alguns literatos. A literatura infantil desenvolveu-se século XVII, assumiu o compromisso com a pedagogia no século XVIII, foi marcada pelo interesse crescente nos estudos psicanalíticos no final do século XIX e início do século XX e, nos dias atuais, apresenta uma nova proposta estética e cultural. O bibliotecário e a criança podem contar com aliados, os concursos, as feiras e os catálogos de autores na seleção de livros infantis de qualidade.
Abstract: As childhood is discovered a kind of the literature generated to attend it. Some writers were bias to it due to it’s special characteristics . The infant literature was developed in century XVII, assumed the commitment wtih the pedagogy in century XVIII, was marked by the increasing interest in the psychoanalitic studies in the end of century XIX and benning of century XX, and, in the current days, presents a new proposal aesthetic and cultural. The librarian and the child can count with allies like authors catalogue, authors prize in the input’s books literature selection.
