Student engagement in educational practices founded by STS education

dc.descriptionIn this article, we present a characterization of what has been understood by engagement in educational practices linked to STS education. To this end, an investigative immersion was carried out, based on Discursive Textual Analysis, in studies in the field of scientific education, and then, considering this theoretical framework, we analyzed the STS production in the area of Science teaching centered on classroom practices. Specifically, Brazilian theses, articles published in journals in the field of Science education and papers presented at ENPEC were analyzed. From the analysis of this corpus, it was possible to recognize three dimensions of engagement linked to STS Education, associated with the exercise of voice, the mobilization and appropriation of knowledge and sociopolitical actionen-US
dc.descriptionNesse artigo apresentamos uma caracterização do que vem sendo compreendido por engajamento em práticas educativas vinculadas à educação CTS. Para tal, foi realizada uma imersão investigativa, fundamentada na Análise Textual Discursiva, em estudos do campo da educação científica para, em seguida, e considerando esse marco teórico, analisarmos a produção CTS da área de ensino de Ciências centrada em práticas de sala de aula. Especificamente, foram analisadas teses brasileiras, artigos publicados em revistas da área de ensino de Ciências e trabalhos apresentados no ENPEC. A partir da análise desse corpus, foi possível reconhecer três dimensões de engajamento vinculadas à educação CTS, associadas ao exercício de voz, à mobilização e apropriação do conhecimento e à ação sociopolítica.pt-BR
