Lean healthcare in improving communication in health services in Brazil: a systematic review

dc.descriptionThe objective was to review the use of Lean in Brazilian health services, with a focus on improving communication. A systematic review of articles in Portuguese and English was carried out in Science Direct, Embase, Scopus, PubMed and WebofScience databases. Among the 294 articles found, 18 were selected. The implementation of Lean philosophy is centered on surgical services in hospitals in the Southeast of Brazil. The main communication barriers identified were the flow of information, and communication between teams from different health sectors. The tools with the greatest applicability to identify and solve communication barriers were Value Stream Mapping, Visual Management, Gemba Walk, Poka Yoke, Kanban and Kaizen.en-US
dc.descriptionObjetivou-se revisar o uso do Lean em serviços de saúde brasileiros, com foco no aprimoramento da comunicação. Efetuou-se revisão sistemática de artigos em português e inglês, nas bases Science Direct, Embase, Scopus, PubMed e WebofScience. Dos 294 artigos encontrados, 18 foram selecionados. A aplicação do Lean está centrada em serviços de cirurgia de hospitais do Sudeste brasileiro. As principais barreiras comunicacionais foram o fluxo de informações, e a comunicação entre equipes de setores diferentes. As ferramentas com maior aplicabilidade para identificar e solucionar barreiras comunicacionais foram o Mapeamento do Fluxo de Valor, Gestão Visual, Gemba Walk, Poka Yoke, Kanban e Kaizen.pt-BR
