Design in Cyborg Beast prostheses from the perspectives of Sargent (1994) and Lobach (2001)

dc.descriptionIn the search to define design artifacts, there are different views for the same artifact. In this article, the views of Sargent (1994) and Lobach (2001) are discussed, evaluating the presence of design in the Cyborg Beast prosthesis, an open source product for 3D printing. Articles from developers and users of the prosthesis were confronted with the perspectives of these authors, they were collected in Scopus and Google Scholar, with the descriptor “Cyborg Beast” until the year 2020. They fit in some aspects of Sargent (1994) and Lobach (2001), and it is concluded that artifacts can partially fit into design definitions, according to the developer or user perspective.en-US
dc.descriptionNa busca por definir artefatos de design, encontram-se distintas visões para o mesmo artefato. Neste artigo, são debatidas as visões de Sargent (1994) e Lobach (2001), avaliando a presença do design na prótese Cyborg Beast, produto open source para impressão 3D. Artigos de desenvolvedores e usuários da prótese foram confrontados com as perspectivas desses autores, eles foram coletados na Scopus e Google Acadêmico, com o descritor “Cyborg Beast” até o ano de 2020. Se enquadram em alguns aspectos de Sargent (1994) e Lobach (2001), e conclui-se que artefatos podem se encaixar parcialmente em definições de design, de acordo com a perspectiva do desenvolvedor ou do usuário.pt-BR
